SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, Belgium (AP)—Mark Webber has his sights set on maintaining his Formula One championship lead after taking the pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix.

Webber’s fifth pole of the year put the Red Bull driver in prime position for a fifth victory to extend his four-point lead in the drivers’ standings.

Webber went around the slick Spa circuit in 1 minute, 45.778 seconds on Saturday to edge out Lewis Hamilton of McLaren, who trails Webber in second place in the standings.

Robert Kubica of Renault will start in third, ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who trails his Red Bull teammate by 10 points.

Jenson Button of McLaren starts fifth, while Fernando Alonso of Ferrari starts 10th for Sunday’s 44-lap race.
